On this episode, we discuss the collect and propers for the Feast of St. James the Greater, the son of Zebedee and apostle of Jesus. St. James was a close friend of Jesus and the first of the apostles to be martyred. We explore martyrdom, suffering for Christ’s sake, being baptized with Christ’s baptism, drinking the cup of Christ, how Christ’s Kingdom is different from the Gentiles’ kingdoms, and what true greatness in the Kingdom of Heaven looks like.
