On Pestilence and Plague

In this episode, Dcn. Tanner Moore joins the show to discuss plague and theology. We look at today’s COVID-19 pandemic in light of the Anglican tradition, particularly in Stuart-era England, where we find an embrace of medical science alongside pastoral concerns for prayer and penitence.

A Form of Common Prayer meant to be read during the plague: A Form of Common Prayer, together with an Order of Fasting, for the averting of Gods heavy Visitation (1665).
